The film has a very intuitive story line where Sathyaraj and Radha who are both pick pocketeers fall in love and get married. With the help of Radha who also has a passion on art, Sathyaraj tries to create few forgery education certificates and applies for the post of police officer. He even succeeds in it. The rest forms the story.

Rajesh Khanna In The Movie "Bawarchi - 1972"

Bawarchi is a 1972 Indian film directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee starring Rajesh Khanna and Jaya Badhuri with Asrani , A.K. Hangal , Usha Kiran and Durga Khote in supporting roles. In Mukherjee's classic style, the film contains no violence or obscenities, and focuses on spreading family values and morals through clean comedy. The movie is inspired by the Bengali film Galpa Holeo Satyi (1966) by Tapan Sinha . The film was remade in Tamil as Samayalkaaran with M. K. Muthu . It was remade twice in Kannada - first as Sakala Kala Vallabha starring Shashikumar and second as #73, Shaanthi Nivaasa with Sudeep . It served as a great inspiration for the 1997 Hindi film Hero No. 1 .

Satyajit Ray was a multifaceted Indian artist and filmmaker, widely regarded as one of the greatest and most influential directors in the history of cinema. Satyajit Ray was Born on May 2, 1921, in Calcutta (now Kolkata) to Sukumar Ray, an eminent poet and writer, and Suprabha Ray. His father died when Satyajit was just two years old, and he was raised by his mother and grandfather, Upendrakishore Ray Chowdhury, who was a distinguished writer, painter, and composer. Ray studied at Ballygunge Government High School and later at Presidency College, Calcutta, where he earned a BA in economics. He also attended Visva-Bharati University in Santiniketan, founded by Rabindranath Tagore, to study Fine Art. Ray began his career as a commercial artist and later transitioned to filmmaking after being inspired by French filmmaker Jean Renoir and Italian neorealist film “Bicycle Thieves” (1948) by Vittorio De Sica.
