Grrr is a 2024 survival comedy Malayalam film directed by Jay K.
The film is based on a
true story from 2018 where a man jumped into the lion enclosure at the
Thiruvananthapuram Zoo. The story revolves around Rejimon Nadar (played by
Kunchacko Boban), who, in a drunken state after a heartbreak due to caste issues,
jumps into the lion's den. Haridas Nair (played by Suraj Venjaramoodu), a zoo
officer, must rescue Rejimon while dealing with his own personal problems and
the media frenzy surrounding the incident. The film features a real lion named
Mojo, who has appeared in Hollywood and Bollywood films. The lion was chosen
after training and approval from the film crew.
